Parents shouldn't confuse with these two words

Assalamualaikum! FORCE or ENCOURAGE.

Being a mom for 11 years, I realize that we parents always do get confused with these two words. More often we hope that our children would be more independent and could learn something new for the benefits of their future life. But we always forget in the process of doing it we tend to force them to do it themselves rather than to encourage.

I myself is far from perfect. But, motherhood has given me opportunities more than I deserve to learn how to change my bad parenting to the less-bad one.

Getting Ready For The Future - What Parents Need To Know

Assalamualaikum!

Other than sharing stories about my daughters, I also love to share about good education, fresh ideas on how our children can make progress in school. As a mother of two, I can't help but to give more priorities especially in the aspect of education in the early years and providing them the right tools to think more creatively and be independent.

As the saying goes, it's more blessed to give than receive. I believe in providing the good education for our children is the best thing we can do as parents. Every children has the right to be in school but not only to gain knowledge but from the knowledge itself, they are able to unleash their unique potential.

Dear my daughter, you have something I dont

Assalamualaikum!

Through out this 10 years of your life with us, you have shown tremendously unbelievable talents that we as parents couldn't even thought that our children would have! As our first born, you developed skills faster than your age and you love to explore new things or do it yourself to show what you can do.

I still remember your darjah 3 class teacher, Mr. Raj said to me during the Report Card Day in the Dewan Zamrud, "Hazwani ... dia sangat cepat dalam kelas. Homework dia dah siap tapi murid lain belum lagi. Dia siap request kat saya ada lagi homework tak sir, saya boring la", and we both burst into laugh. Can't believe you actually said that hahaha! Yes... you get bored easily especially when you are done with something while others still not. That's why your teacher had to give extra homework to keep you busy in the class. I remember when you came home and complained to me that there's a girl in your class who could'nt keep up in mengaji. You and your friends had finished the page while she still on the same page and ustazah will not turn to the new one until everyone has finished. So you said it was boring to wait for her. But I said that you must give her time and teach her so that she could catch up with you guys. We never leave friends behind ok.

Speaking of the topic, there's something in you that always amazes me and your father. Everytime you built/drew/wrote something, you'd come to us and show your work of art and we'd like ... wowwww! That is so beautiful sayang! Then, recently you showed us something that you made yourself. First of all, drawing is one of the skills that we (me and your father) didn't really enjoy during our childhood ... hahaha! Just to be true, I hate drawings. I hate it because I'm not good at it, especially when it comes to drawing human. I used to draw orang lidi for Pendidikan Seni and I hated it lol.

That superstitious stories your friend tellin' you ....

Assalamualaikum!

Kids like to hear stories. Who doesn't right? Especially when it comes from your school friends! But the problem is they tend to believe that the stories are true ... expecially the 'mystical' a.k.a tahyul part haha. Same to same when we were kids, we also do believe this kind of tales right... hohoho :p

Sometimes I just don't know how to respond when kakak believe in something she haven't seen or experienced herself and just hear it from her friends. I was like ..."kakak semua tu tak betulla.... please jangan percaya macam tu boleh tak?" .... I mean the expressions on her face when she tellin' you ... hahaha ayoyoyo seems like she really really really believe the thing happened!

Mother's Day Project

Assalamualaikum!

Honestly, Mother's Day is not in my celebration calendar. I can't recall if I ever made a Mother's Day card for my mom during my school time. Even weird, I never wished her 'Happy Mother's Day' or something similar huhu.

But of course I said 'I love you mak' everytime she bought me something lol. And also, gave salam and kiss her hand before I go to school.

Now, that I have my own daughters studying and exploring new things everyday in school makes them more open to possibilities of learning and adapting new environment that suits them.

So, the story is about their Mother's Day Card Project .....

From Kakak To Ibu

Assalamualaikum!

Yesterday, we picked up kakak from school as usual, and we were ready to head on home. While I was talking to my husband, and my daughters busy making noise behind, suddenly kakak took out something from her pocket and handed me this.

Was it something you like or not so? Have you ever ate the same category of food in the same week?

I have, in fact I do it regularly hehe. I just can't resist when it comes to the food I like. I would repeat the same food EVERYDAY if I have the chance and money lol.

Atok In My Eyes

Assalamualaikum!

When was the last time Atok hugged me? I think I was 12 years old then. But, i can't recall what was the occassion about. Atok is a conservative type of father. He doesnt really show his love for his children in front of them, you know ... the old-grumpy-nagging kind of style. To be true, he is not a huggable person, and he never 'encouraged' that among his children.

Even though Atok is a strict person, he is undeniably a loving father and a loving husband. He never laid his hands on me or my sister without reasonable ... or even my mother. One time, I remembered when he scolded and had a little 'wrestling' with my brother for his misbehaviour while he was in his 20's. He wouldn't do that if my brother would have listened to him. Boy ... he was 'naughty' that time. Big time illegal street racer! lol.

How's My English?

Assalamualaikum!~

Somehow i feel like writing in English today. It's been so long since i use my English either in writing or speaking. Since i transferred to KL, it seemed English is no longer becoming a must-speaking language here. Compare to where i worked in Kuantan, i got to use my English language when there are foreigners specifically air-force pilots from English-speaking countries.
